Working Principle

The MCP98243T-BE/MUYAA takes the advantages of the NTC thermistors as the main detection module. The thermistors can convert the change of the environmental temperature into resistance changes. And then the measurement circuit composed of the amplifier, comparator, and counter will convert the detected resistance changes into a 14-bit digital output. According to the output data, the MCU can judge the increment or decrease of the temperature accurately to estimate the temperature information of the environment.

Besides the thermistor detection module, the MCP98243T-BE/MUYAA also integrated an advanced digital engine and converter, a single supply voltage regulator, I2C serial interface, deep sleep mode, etc. The digital engine and converter is used to read the output of the temperature sensors, and the single supply voltage regulator is used to minimize power consumption and extend the battery life.
