The MF3DH8201DUF/00V IC was designed and developed by ST Microelectronics and is a 9-bit Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) transceiver. It is the ideal solution for applications that require a highly accurate and secure way of controlling access or for applications that require low power consumption. The MF3DH8201DUF/00V is suitable for industrial monitoring applications such as water and gas meters, vending machines and any other system that needs to track and monitor the status of multiple devices.The MF3DH8201DUF/00V has a 9-bit Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) transceiver that operates over an 868-869MHz frequency band. It supports spreads of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16. It offers an adaptive data rate and adaptive coding. The adaptively sets the coding and modulation scheme to provide the best performance. It also has a tracking algorithm which supports a fast correlation with the received signal. The transmitter supports a peak output power of +16 dBm maximum and the receiver supports a sensitivity of -127 dBm.The transmitter and receiver of the IC operates in a bidirectional mode. The RF signal is encoded and modulated using the direct-sequence spread-spectrum (DSSS) technique and is then transmitted in a bidirectional manner that allows the IC to receive and transmit data. The data is transmitted in an 8-bit serial format that is compliant with the ETSI EN 300 327 standard. The MF3DH8201DUF/00V supports a wide range of applications that includes asset tracking, industrial and environmental monitoring, security systems, payment systems, telemetry systems, and access control systems. The IC has been designed to be energy-efficient and has a wide operating temperature range of -40 to +85°C. This makes it suitable for applications that operate in harsh environment or in remote areas.The MF3DH8201DUF/00V is based on a CMOS technology that helps to achieve a compact size and low power consumption. The IC also supports a wide range of operating power supply voltage range of 2.2V to 3.6V and consumes very little power when in standby or idle mode. The communication range of the IC can be increased by adding a signal booster.The MF3DH8201DUF/00V IC has built-in antenna tuning circuit, indicating power to be optimal for transmission. The IC also features a low-power sleep mode and an adjustable current to ensure optimal and reliable operation.
