Through Hole Resistors play an important role in applications that require precise and consistent electrical resistance. The MGM12FT470K is one such part with which this need can be satisfied, providing reliable and consistent performance in aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications.

In addition, its miniature 0.2” size offers good heat dissipation, and its radial leads make it easy to install in conventional through-hole applications.

The MGM12FT470K features a wide range of resistance values, from 250 mΩ to 100 Ω, with tolerances of ±0.1%. Its operating temperature range is -55°C to +150°C which makes it suitable for extreme operating conditions. An available conformal coating option adds additional protection against extreme temperatures and harsh environments.

To determine the working principle of the MGM12FT470K, consider the setup pictured below. This example uses an AC voltage source to represent the application in which the through-hole resistor is used. The source, labeled V, is connected to the resistor through the two lead terminals. The value of the resistance will remain the same regardless of the magnitude of the voltage applied.
