Working Principle of MIC2043-2YM-TR

The MIC2043-2YM-TR integrates two independent level-shifting low-side switches with a current-limiting circuit. The switches have internal pull-down resistors and level shifters, which allow them to interface between low-voltage controllers and higher switch node voltages up to 30V. The load current is limited by a current-sensing resistor. When the load current exceeds the preset limit, the MIC2043-2YM-TR will turn off automatically and the output will be pulled low. The current-sensing resistor can be adjusted to set the current limit.

The MIC2043-2YM-TR also has an integrated power-on protection circuit. This protection circuit prevents the switch from being turned on until the input voltage reaches a safe level.
