MIC29302WT

MIC29302WT is a 500mA low‑dropout linear regulator with low quiescent current and extended input voltage range. It includes an enable pin, thermal shutdown protection and reverse leakage protection against reverse voltage transients that may occur as a result of load transients or fault conditions. With its low quiescent current, it is ideal for battery operated systems and a variety of other low power applications.

The MIC29302WT can operate with an input voltage ranging between 1.2V up to 20V and provides a regulated output voltage between 0.5V and 7V. In order to increase battery run time, this device also features the Power Path™ Technology, enabling the device to be conditioned for continuous operation, even when the battery voltage is lower than the required output voltage.

In addition to the input voltage range, the MIC29302WT also offers very low quiescent current, making it most suitable for battery powered applications. When disabled, the quiescent current is 0.1μA and during normal operation, the current is typically less than 15μA. With a temperature range ranging between -40℃ and 125℃ and 150mV dropout voltage, the device is ideal for industrial and consumer consumer electronics.

The MIC29302WT is designed to operate with low external component count, making it easy to design and implement. It requires only a single bypass capacitor at the output, to filter out noise and ripple that might occur in the load as a result of varying load conditions or input voltage drop out. In addition, it can also use a bypass capacitor at the input, to stabilize the input voltage and reduce the transient response.

The MIC29302WT is highly reliable due to its built-in protection circuitry. It includes a thermal shutdown feature that protects the device from damage due to high temperature or excessive current conditions. In addition, it includes a reverse leakage protection circuit that guards against the possibility of reverse current transients that might occur as a result of load transients or fault conditions.
