The MIC2212-MKYML-EV evaluation board features a power efficient linear voltage regulator module to provide steady output power for different application fields. This board is based on Monolithic Power System’s MIC2212-MKYML voltage regulator. The MIC2212-MKYML is a low drop-out linear regulator which features an adjustable output voltage range of 0.9V-6.5V, a maximum output current of 4A, and a quiescent current consumption of only 7μA. Furthermore, the MIC2212-MKYML is protected against inrush currents, short circuits, and over voltage conditions.

The MIC2212-MKYML-EV evaluation board is designed for application fields such as wireless and wired communications, medical devices, consumer electronics, automotive instrumentation, avionics, and power management. It is also suited well for high efficiency switching power regulators, adjustable linear regulators, post regulators, and small size power supplies. The module also includes protection against inrush currents up to 70A, and short circuits up to 8A.
