The MIC24052YJL-TR is a high performance and high frequency, synchronous step-down switching regulator from the family of DC-DC switching regulators. It is a strongly integrated and cost-effective solution for highly efficient, low noise power supply systems. Equipped with additional features such as an integrated high-side FET, it is capable of supplying a constant output voltage with very low ripple and noise without any external components.

The integrated, fixed frequency, synchronous buck regulator is suitable for applications such as embedded PC systems, LED drivers, wireless power supplies and other power conserving applications. The MIC24052YJL-TR device is capable of delivering up to 2.5A of continuous output current with a minimum switching frequency of 500kHz. This eliminates the need for external sequencing components and reduces PCB space. This capability makes the regulator suitable for use in battery-operated mobile devices.

The output voltage of the MIC24052YJL-TR can be adjusted through an external resistive divider. It also includes a high accurate reference voltage regulator and internal hysteretic soft-start control circuitry. To guarantee excellent line and load transient response, the device supplies an integrated soft-start and a fast transient response compensation circuit at the error amplifier output stage.

The MIC24052YJL-TR also provides a power OK (POK) output port for power control. It has a voltage drop detection (VDD) circuit featuring an open-collector VDD output port to detect a voltage fault or an over-output voltage condition. Furthermore, an external frequency synchronization pin (SYNC pin) enables synchronization of the switching frequency to the external clock source.

In addition, the MIC24052YJL-TR is equipped with various protection features that prevent device damage in abrupt load changes and transient conditions like over-temperature protection, under-voltage lockout, over-voltage protection and over-current protection. These protection features enable proper device operation even in the most demanding applications.
