MIC2563A-1YSM-TR is a high-performance, low-on-resistance power distribution switches and load drivers with integrated power distribution and monitoring features. It is a high-performance, low-on-resistance power switch and load driver capable of controlling up to 8 outputs, with striking features like controlling, monitoring, protection and multiple voltage channels. The output of the power switch can be controlled with an automotive-qualified MCU or a smart thermal management IC.

The power switch combines low power switch on-resistance, temperature monitoring, over current protection and advance fault reporting. The nominal total on-resistance (RON, Tot) is 2.5 mΩ to provide minimal drop in voltage throughout the system. On-resistance is low across a wide input voltage range of 6V to 20V, ensuring that high performance is maintained in all system voltages.

The power switch also supports current monitoring for over-current protection as well as thermal threshold monitoring. This IC utilizes an over-current protection (OCP) architecture with an adjustable trip-point that is programmable from 85A to 215A, providing current limiting features for the connected load and circuit protection.

The MIC2563A-1YSM-TR also features an integrated PGOOD status output pin, which indicates the status of the switch output. The PGOOD indicator allows for an additional layer of protection in the power distribution systems. If any of the outputs exceed their preset over-current protection threshold, the PGOOW output pin will go low.
