The MIC2875-5.0YMT-T5 is a step-down DC/DC switching regulator with efficiency up to 95 percent. It is a single output 5V DC-DC buck converter with integrated FETs, offering high efficiency, small size, excellent load and line regulation specifications, is well suited to provide a regulated 5V output voltage from the output of most power systems.

The level of current delivered is adjusted by adjusting the voltage reference at the disable pin. This creates an output voltage that is significantly lower than the input voltage. The input current is then limited to a level dictated by the sense resistor.
