The MIC4575-3.3WU-TR is a low-noise, low-dropout voltage regulator (LDO) designed to protect and manage valuable power supplies with high efficiency power conversion. It has an adjustable output voltage that provides the regulator with a wide range of output voltage options to meet the requirements of a variety of applications.The MIC4575-3.3WU-TR is the first LDO regulator to incorporate an adjustable switch-mode power supply (SMPS) controller, which provides high efficiency and low noise operation. By utilizing a DC-DC switching regulator between the input voltage and the output voltage, this IC is able to reduce the ripple, noise and thermal dissipation of the power supply, making it an ideal choice for low-noise and/or high-efficiency power management applications.The MIC4575-3.3WU-TR is available in several versions, offering input voltage ranges of 5.5V to 30V, 26V to 40V or 10V to 40V. It has an adjustable output current of up to 3.3W, and an adjustable output voltage range up to 25V.The MIC4575-3.3WU-TR is designed for both linear and switch-mode power supplies. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, including DSPs and processors, low-noise audio applications, low power-consumption DC/DC converters, motor drivers, battery management systems, and various other high efficiency and low noise applications.The MIC4575-3.3WU-TR is designed to reduce system complexity and simplify power supply design. It has a wide range of features that reduce system noise, reduce power loss and extend battery life, while providing the precise voltage regulation necessary to ensure reliable and efficient operation.The MIC4575-3.3WU-TR integrates a low-noise switch-mode regulator controller, a linear regulator controller, a voltage reference, an op-amp, and an on-chip power supply sequencer and fault detection circuit to control the power supply. This enables the MIC4575-3.3WU-TR to provide high efficient and low noise operation with minimal external components.The MIC4575-3.3WU-TR is designed to operate in a wide range of temperatures, from -40°C to +125°C, and has an operating frequency range of 350kHz to 2.4MHz for superior noise reduction. It also has a high ripple rejection which helps to reduce noise in the output voltage. Additionally, it features a very low dropout voltage and internal current limit protection.The MIC4575-3.3WU-TR is also designed to provide an easy to implement, robust and reliable solution for low-noise and high-efficiency power supply design.
