Gate drivers are one of the most important components of a PMIC system. A gate driver is a active electronic circuit used to control the effect of a connected electronic device with the control voltage applied to its control input. The MIC4127YME-TR is a high voltage family of gate drivers designed specifically to drive high-side power MOSFETs and IGBTs in motor control, DC-DC converters, and power machine boards. The MIC4127YME-TR provides a single-stage bootstrap supply to the high-side switches and isolated grounds for other components connected to the system. The gating circuit consists of a high-voltage level shift circuit which shifts the logic levels from logic 0 to 1 and vice versa.
