The MIC5159-1.8BM5 TR is a Linear Regulator Controller that allows the system designer to easily implement a wide range of linear regulator solutions. This device provides excellent system reliability, flexibility and cost savings by allowing the designer to use cost-effective solutions with maximum efficiency.
The MIC5159-1.8BM5 TR is an adjustable linear regulator controller that includes a low drop O-FET as well as low-analog programmable voltage reference and voltage feedback divider. This device enables the user to create an adjustable linear regulator suitable for a wide range of applications, from low-load to high-load designs. The controller also provides a low-drop out low-noise performance in applications requiringOutput accuracy, noise performance and low output ripple.
The MIC5159-1.8BM5 TR is based on the patented Enhanced Dynamic Output Impedance (EDO) technology, which offers high output accuracy and improved noise performance. This is achieved through the use of programmable voltage reference and voltage feedback divider for high accuracy. EDO technology enables the device to have better thermal resistance resulting in improved overall efficiency and superior transient response.
The MIC5159-1.8BM5 TR is designed with a multiphase architecture which allows for a greater level of flexibility and customization to meet the specific application requirements. For example, it can be configured for up to 4-phase parallel or 2-phase single-phase flyback regulators.
