The MIC5380-PPYFT-TR is a low-cost, low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator designed for single supply input applications. It offers wide input voltage range, output voltage accuracy, fast transient response and low current consumption. The MIC5380-PPYFT-TR is a 2.5V fixed output voltage regulator, ideal for applications requiring a low output voltage. It features an adjustable current-limit, short-circuit protection, output enable and shutdown functions. This IC is a member of the MIC5380 family of LDO voltage regulators. It is a precision, low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator that provides a stable and accurate 2.5V output from a wide input supply range. The MIC5380-PPYFT-TR is comprised of an error amplifier, an NFET pass element, a PNP reset transistor and other circuit components. The feedback voltage of the error amplifier is compared to the reference voltage (VREF). The error amplifier adjusts the gate voltage of the pass element, controlling the output voltage of the LDO. The PNP reset transistor is used for the over-temperature protection of the IC. The MIC5380-PPYFT-TR incorporates a high-impedance, precision voltage reference and 0.6V (typical) accuracy output voltage. It offers fast transient response, low power consumption, and is able to achieve a very low dropout voltage of 350mV at full load. The operating current consumption is typically 4μA, providing low power consumption and extended battery life. The MIC5380-PPYFT-TR also features an adjustable current limit and short-circuit protection, making it ideal for a wide range of applications. The MIC5380-PPYFT-TR is a versatile device suitable for a broad range of applications requiring low output voltages, such as wireless communication, data acquisition, and low-power logic gate applications.
