The MIC5381-G4YFT-TR adopts current regulated architecture which enables an output voltage that is stable regardless of load current or variations in operating temperature. Both outputs are regulated by one set of external resistors, with the 1.1V being regulated via a resistive divider connected between the two regulators and the 1.8V being regulated separately by its own separate resistive divider. This configuration also eliminates any cross regulation that is normally associated with two linear regulator ICs. In addition, each output has a separate error amplifier which provides additional flexibility to achieve maximum output accuracy.The MIC5381-G4YFT-TR is highly integrated and incorporates several features that further improve its performance. The device includes an adjustable current-limit circuit and thermal-shutdown protection that protects both outputs from overcurrent and over-temperature conditions.
