The MIC94310-4YM5-TR is a 4 A Linear Low Drop-Out (LDO) Voltage Regulator for providing a very low dropout voltage, high output current and low quiescent current in battery-powered applications. It is a monolithic, triple-mode device, featuring a Enable/Shutdown Control and two Regulated Current Limit Select options. The MIC94310-4YM5-TR utilizes advanced CMOS process technology to achieve very low voltage drop and excellent load regulation, combined with high efficiency, to provide robust solutions for ultra low power, low voltage systems.

The MIC94310-4YM5-TR offers high ripple rejection, low noise and high accuracy over a wide temperature range, −40°C to +125°C junction temperature. It is designed to provide a stable DC output with a minimum of external component count. The MIC94310-4YM5-TR can be set up easily with either a resistor or an open collector. When enabled, the input voltage is regulated by the reference voltage provided.

The MIC94310-4YM5-TR features a low current consumption, capable of providing up to 4A while in regulation mode. With the Enable/Shutdown Control, the device can be disabled and put into a shutdown state with a logic low level on the enable pin. This helps reduce current consumption during standby periods and also prevents possible short circuit or overload scenarios.

The MIC94310-4YM5-TR is available in a tiny 2.0mmx2.2mm SOP-8 package, ideal for portable applications.
