MIN3-AC is a type of protective and controlling accessories which can be installed in power system and widely used in winding systems of high power transformers and furnace switching-on. In essence, it is a kind of electromechanical relay which can detect the load current and compare it with the current value it has been set beforehand to achieve the purpose of protective and controlling.
MIN3-AC consists of main body, switching power source, current transformer and other components. It performs as a three phase protective and controlling device, rated current range of it is 1A to 85A. The rated operation voltage is AC500V-1000V. It is suitable for protecting or controlling the contactor, circuit breaker, switchgear, lamp, electromagnetic valve, motor, fan or other electrical equipment.
MIN3-AC has three basic function types, which are delay switch-off, immediate switch-off and alarm. The delay switch-off can precisely control the over-current time and has the functions of thermal reset and timing. The immediate switch-off command can protect the winding system in the state of momentary fault, such as undervoltage, overload and short circuit, etc. The alarm function can monitor the working state and provide an early warning.
The working principle of MIN3-AC is quite simple. Its core part is the embedded control system composed of electromagnetic relay and integrated circuit. The current transformer will be used to convert the rest current from the system into secondary current which will be further divided into two parts, one to the sensing circuit and the other to the operating circuit, so as to make sure the control of the over-current. When the rest current from the system remain above the pre-set threshold value, the electromagnetic relay will be activated to cut off the power supply in order to avoid the fault of the equipment.
Moreover, MIN3-AC has over-voltage protection and under-voltage protection. The over-voltage protection will monitor the voltage level of the system by using the electric resistance and control the circuit breaker to turn off the power when the measured voltage exceeds the threshold value. The under-voltage protection will detect the voltage difference between two ends of the circuit to protect the winding system from the damage caused by low voltage.
MIN3-AC is widely used in many fields, such as industrial automation, petrochemical enterprises, motor control, fan control, dynamic compensator, welding machine power supply, temperature control systems, rolling mills and other high power application areas. Moreover, it has features, such as easy installation, flexible setting and friendly interface.
