The Maximal MK2705SLF is an Application Specific Clock Generator that is designed to provide an output clock frequency that is independent of the frequency at which the external crystal oscillates. It is designed for use in frequency conversion and generation applications where superior performance is required, such as frequency translation, frequency shifting or frequency multiplication. The device consists of an oscillator core plus control logic and a storage register that is used for programming the clock output frequency.
