The MK3720DLFTR is an ultra-low power, small-footprint 200 kHz to 250 MHz programmable frequency synthesizer (PLL). This device is ideal for applications using a wide range of source clock frequencies and requiring low power consumption and a small footprint on the circuit board. It is a highly configurable solution with Programmable Multipliers (PMs), Phase Interpolators (PI), Programmable Divide (PD), and Fine Tune (FT) to allow for fine-tuning of the final output frequency. It also features an on-board Temperature Compensation crystal oscillator (TCXO).The MK3720DLFTR is a frequency synthesizer device most commonly used to generate higher frequencies from relatively lower input clock sources. The device works by passing an input clock signal through a Programmable Multiplier (PM) to create a higher frequency signal, then passing the higher frequency signal through one or more Phase Interpolators (PI) to make slight adjustments to the frequency, and finally a Programmable Divide (PD) to divide the output frequency to achieve an exact desired frequency.
