The primary side of the MP103GN-Z includes a high voltage station level surge-protector, which protects the flyback converter from the transient high voltage during power on. The flyback converter also features a current limiting circuit to protect against secondary overload. The secondary side includes an integrated synchronous rectifier,which improves the efficiency by up to 70%. It has an overvoltage protection (OVP) circuit and an overload protection (OLP) circuit.
