The MP2482DN-LF is a high-performance synchronous monolithic step-down DC/DC converter with an integrated FET. It is designed to provide a small solution with high efficiency, fast transient response and accurate output voltage regulation over wide input voltage range.

The MP2482DN-LF is suitable for a wide range of applications from microcontrollers, DSPs, FPGAs to consumer and industrial equipment. Its features such as ultra-low quiescent current, high switching frequency and high-current capability make it ideal for high power and/or battery-powered applications. The MP2482DN-LF is based on a fixed-frequency, synchronous buck topology. It integrates a power switch, a control and an output switch on a single monolithic die along with internal gate drivers and requires minimal external components. It is designed to provide a low noise, high-efficiency solution utilizing all N-channel MOSFETs and requires no external Schottky diode.

The MP2482DN-LF enables synchronous operation, which reduces switching losses and improves light load efficiency. It operates at a very low 250mV input voltage differential, allowing it to achieve greater than 92% conversion efficiency. The MP2482DN-LF uses an adjustable soft-start to control inrush current and keeps it within 150mA. An enable pin and thermal shutdown circuit safeguard the device from thermal overstress.

The MP2482DN-LF features an internal compensation network that eliminates the need for any external loop compensation components. This simplifies design effort and enhances loop stability and flexibility in selecting a wide range of output capacitors. The MP2482DN-LF provides excellent transient response, enabling a more stable and accurate output voltage regulation.

The MP2482DN-LF is ideal for the following applications: point-of-load power supplies, motor control, and lighting power systems, digital audio systems, video game consoles, and automotive battery powered systems.
