The MP3429GL-Z is a DC-to-DC converter integrated circuit (IC) with a high performance and superior efficiency in its field of application. It is designed to deliver a 0.8V to 4.5V output voltage range and is capable of operating at up to 12V input voltage beyond which it can be placed in a different type of regulator device. When the output voltage is below the set-point voltage, the device enters PFM mode, in which the power is delivered to the load continuously and thus, achieves high efficiency and low output ripple.In order to control the switching frequency and the operating mode, the MP3429GL-Z integrates a control circuit. The maximum PWM switching frequency of the device is 1.2MHz and can be programmed by the external clock, or a resistor or capacitor. The PFM Max. Halt Frequency is also adjustable, which can be set from 25kHz to 1MH.
