DC-DC switching regulators provide a wide range of power management solutions, from the very simple step-down converters to higher-level synchronous buck converters. The MP8843GG-Z is an integrated synchronous buck switching regulator that is designed to support a wide range of applications such as point-of-load (PoL) DC-DC power conversion, general-purpose buck voltage regulation, battery-charging applications, and system-level power sequencing.

The MP8843GG-Z features an efficient 72V, 4A synchronous step-down solution with a high switching frequency of up to 2MHz. It employs a precise current-mode control loop architecture with a fast transient response with excellent line sensitivity and load regulation and allows the user to select multiple output voltage settings. The device is capable of operating from a 6V to 36V DC input voltage range and allows the user to adjust the output voltage from 0.6V to VIN with a wide range of resistance divider configurations.
