MPC17511AEPR2 is an integrated multi-phase motor controller with integrated power stage and is designed to provide a flexible and cost effective solution for 3-phase brush DC, BLDC and VEMS motors. The device integrates all the necessary features and functions for total design automation, maximum system reliability and scalability for most 3-phase applications.

It has a Dual Power Hall-Effect Sensor Interface for poles detection and closure detection, a PWM controller for closed loop 3-phase speed control, a digital loop filter for regulation of the output voltage (phase angle or field weakening) and a current feedback control loop for virtual current source regulation.

The MPC17511AEPR2 provides multiple drivers inside the package and can provide up to one hundred twenty-five W of output power. The device is protected with over temperature, undervoltage and overcurrent protection. The device also includes an internal charge pump and a voltage feedback loop that provide a high level of accuracy.

The device is housed in a 24-pin LFCSP (Low-profile Flip-chip), making it suitable for use on space restrained boards. The device supports both the standard mode of operation and the active current cancellation to reduce the motor vibrations.
