TVS - Diodes are electronic components used for protecting electronics from transient overvoltage caused by Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), induced transients, and lightning. The MPLAD15KP45A/TR (MPLAD) device is a 15-V unidirectional TVS (transient voltage suppressor) diode designed to protect sensitive electronics from transient overvoltage events up to 1,500-Volts peak, and can handle up to 45-Amps peak with a maximum pulse width of 8.3-uS.
