The MPQ4430GL-Z is a versatile dual-channel DC/DC Step Down regulator which is ideal for use in applications requiring high current output with tight voltage regulation. Its two independently controlled DC/DC regulators provide adjustable voltage outputs, both positive and negative, for a variety of loads. The MPQ4430GL-Z is used as a master DC/DC regulator in a wide range of applications, including embedded computing, power management in consumer electronics and industrial control systems. The MPQ4430GL-Z has a wide input voltage range of 4.2V to 20V. It is equipped with a sophisticated sense-capacitor-less power supply design, meaning that the input and output capacitors are not required, providing a cost and space saving solution. The MPQ4430GL-Z can output up to 2.5A at each of its two channels ensuring excellent load regulation, also making it an ideal solution for powering high-current loads. The MPQ4430GL-Z features a programmable step-down switching regulator that can be regulated from 0.8V to the input voltage and is adjustable in 0.1V increments. The adjustability of the output voltage helps to maximize the system efficiency and optimize performance without sacrificing design margins. Additionally, the integrated PWM/PFM switching technology improves efficiency when used at light loads, thereby increasing system battery life.
