MSC1201EVM is a dedicated interface board and evaluation module (EVM) for the MSP430FR2000 microcontroller family. It enables rapid evaluation and coding of the MSP430FR2000 MCU features. The board includes an integrated debug interface that supports Code Composer studio (CCS) tools through the USB connection.The EVM features four major evaluation applications:1. LEDs and Switches. This application allows the user to write and execute code to interface with the LEDs and push buttons on the board.2. LCD. The LCD application provides the ability to interface with the LCD display and write applications to display text or numbers.3. Temperature Sensor. The temperature sensor application allows the user to read and display temperature information from the on-board temperature sensor.4. Advanced Frequency Counter. The advanced frequency counter application allows the user to take frequency measurements from various sources including digital inputs or an external clock.The MSC1201EVM includes all the hardware and software needed to develop applications for the MSP430FR2000 MCU. The board includes the USB debug adapter, USB cable, and CCS license code downloader. The CCS license code downloader enables the user to download and install the CCS IDE, debug drivers, USB drivers, and code examples.The MSC1201EVM features eight analog ports, four digital I/O ports, five serial ports, a 12-bit ADC, an integrated RTC, dual 12-bit timer/counters, UART, I2C, and SPI. The board also includes an integrated code protection feature, 512kB of internal Flash, a hardware lab, and a 10-position target selector.The MSC1201EVM is compatible with most of the development kits for the MSP430FR2000 MCU. It is also compatible with third-party software, such as IAR Embedded Workbench for the MSP430FR2000, as well as any software development platform, such as Linux, FreeBSD, and QNX.The MSC1201EVM board is intended for use in initial product evaluation, initial system design, and application development. This makes it an ideal platform for developing applications on the MSP430FR2000 MCU. From prototyping to production, the MSC1201EVM board provides users with a high-performance, easy-to-use evaluation platform for the MSP430FR2000 MCU.
