The working principle of the MSMLG33A is based on a Zener diode, which functions as a voltage-regulating device. When the incoming voltage exceeds the maximum breakdown voltage of the Zener diode, the TVS diode becomes forward-biased, allowing a large current to flow and quickly absorb the energy of the incoming excess voltage.
