The ESDP diode brief the voltage across these Zener diodes and attenuate the signal to a safe level. The diode has a maximum peak pulse current rating of 10A and surge power rating of 8W. It is designed to dissipate the energy from the ESD pulses in the form of heat, while providing effective ESD protection.
The MSMLJ10A also offers additional features, such as low voltage signal clamping. This feature also helps protect low voltage signals from dangerous voltage levels induced by ESD events.
