Working Principle
The MSP430F6749IPEU includes a high-performance 16-bit RISC processor core, an on-chip memory accelerator module, multiple peripherals, and up to 32KB of Flash memory and up to 24KB of RAM. The processor core is based on an ultra-low-power16-bit MSP430 CPU that operates at up to 16MHz and features a wide selection of peripherals, including three enhanced GPIOs, seven timers, three I2C peripherals and a USB 2.0 full-speed controller.
The CPU also includes an on-chip memory accelerator module with 64-bit addressable memory and 32-bit data pathways and a Direct Memory Access controller for up to two independent data channels. The 16-bit architecture reduces the number of cycles needed for a given task, decreasing execution time, power consumption and cost.
The MSP430F6749IPEU also features an extensive analog capabilities, including an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), four 12-bit digital-to-analog converters, two temperature sensors and two comparators. In addition, it supports an advanced ultra-low-power GPIOs with programmable input and output drive strength and slew-ratio. These features enable the design of advanced, energy-efficient, long life embedded applications.
