The device also provides a very fast response time of 0.25 seconds, resulting in maximum efficiency and minimal losses due to voltage adjustment.The working principle of the MT-2111 is based on a self-regulation process which includes the dynamic switching of the input converting element. This self-regulation process enables the MT-2111 to automatically adjust to new input voltage levels. In order to compensate for fluctuations in voltage, the device continuously monitors the input voltage and compares it to its preset output voltage level. If the input level is higher than the output voltage, the MT-2111 switches its input element off and on to reduce the difference between the two levels. This switching cycle is repeated until the output voltage level is achieved.The MT-2111 also features active power factor correction (APFC) circuitry which can be used to enhance the power quality of an AC grid. The APFC adjusts the voltage drawn from the AC grid in order to reduce the reactive power accumulation.
