MTC50-BS2-P22 is a Motion Control Board system motor type microcontroller specifically designed for motion control applications. Working Principle
The MTC50-BS2-P22 is based on the TMS320C50 digital signal processor with 32-Kwords of program memory. The board utilizes the floating-point capabilities of the TMS320C50 processor to provide high speed control of multiple axes simultaneously. The board supports up to four quadrature encoders, and two pulse/direction inputs for position/velocity sensing. The board also supports up to eight pulse/direction PWM outputs.
The MTC50-BS2-P22 system is capable of performing real-time velocity and position control of multiple axes simultaneously. The board employs proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control for each axis to keep the desired speed and position. It also has built-in ramp generation for smooth acceleration/deceleration and dynamic loading compensation to avoid overshoot/undershoot when the load is changing.
The board also features a programmable Ethernet controller for communication over TCP/IP with other control systems. It can be programmed to allow remote access and control over the internet. The board also supports communication with host computers and other devices via the RS232 and RS485 serial ports.
