MVE-2517 is a high-precision inertial navigation and attitude measurement module developed by the MITL Corporation. It is designed for small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and other light-weight mobile carriers. The module incorporates a 4-axis gyroscope, accelerometer and magnetometer on a single board, and supports multiple output data formats.
The MVE-2517 has a wide range of applications, including UAV navigation, attitude measurement, aircraft navigation, vehicle navigation, yacht navigation and geographic positioning systems. It can also be used in global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) for precise navigation and attitude determination. In addition, it can be used in many other measuring and positioning systems, such as optical range finding, laser scanning, seismic survey and monitoring, and celestial navigation.
In terms of its working principle, the MVE-2517 obtains its motion information with its four-axis gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer. The gyroscope measures rotation rate in three orthogonal directions. The accelerometer measures acceleration in three orthogonal directions. The magnetometer measures the Earth\'s magnetic field. The data collected by these sensors is integrated using a patented algorithm, allowing for precise attitude measurement and navigation.
The module\'s integration makes it easy to install in a UAV, and it features intuitive device management and data transmission. The data from the sensors is collected, pre-processed, and sent to the flight controller. The flight controller then combines this data with information from other sensors, such as GPS, altitude, and speed, to calculate the aircraft’s location and heading.
The MVE-2517 is also integrated a power-saving feature, which helps conserve energy even when it is in sleep mode. In addition, the module is designed to operate in temperatures from -40℃ to +90℃ and allows for a wide range of customization options. Its accuracy, reliability, and versatility make it an ideal choice for UAV navigation and attitude measurements.
