MVT-255 is an optical spectrometer with an integrated imaging system that can measure the reflectance and transmittance of solid, liquid and gas samples simultaneously. It is designed for flexibility, powerful performance and user-friendliness to meet the needs of routine testing in industrial and laboratory environments. The spectrometer is ideal for measuring reflectance and transmittance in a variety of wavelengths, from broadband UV-VIS through to near IR.
MVT-255 comprises of a base unit, containing the spectrometer head, power supply, optical system, and CCD camera. An accurate measurement is achieved even when the sample is not perfectly flat, thanks to the integrated imaging system, which allows the camera to detect anomalies in the sample image to be corrected. This eliminates potential measurement errors and enables more accurate data acquisition.
Application Field of MVT-255
MVT-255 is an ideal solution for a variety of testing requirements, ranging from materials research to quality control. The spectrometer is suitable for analyzing reflectance and transmittance of substances in different wavelengths, such as NIR, UV-VIS, and VIS. Applications include:
- Analyzing the properties of materials such as metals, glass, synthetics, and plastics
- Measuring the reflectance and transmittance of liquids, solids and gases
- Monitoring the color of paints, fabrics and textiles
- Testing the colour of vegetables and fruits
- Measuring the concentration of trace elements in a sample
- Testing the UV index
Working Principle of MVT-255
The MVT-255 works by measuring the reflectance and transmittance of samples in different wavelengths. To measure the samples, the spectrometer uses a collection of light sources ranging from UV to near IR wavelength bands. Once the light from each of these sources passes through the sample, the detector is used to measure the amount of light absorbed or reflected. The intensity and wavelength of the detected light are then used to calculate the reflectance and transmittance of the sample.
The integrated imaging system also helps make the measurements more accurate. This system captures an image of the sample, allowing any anomalies in the sample image to be corrected. This eliminates potential measurement errors and enables more precise results.
MVT-255 is a powerful and convenient tool for testing reflectance and transmittance in a variety of wavelengths. It is designed to be flexible and user-friendly to meet the needs of industrial and laboratory routine testing requirements.
