The MX841BE is a powerful PMIC – LED Driver for portable consumer electronics and automatic lighting. This power management integrated circuit (PMIC) is mounted onto printed circuit boards (PCBs). Digital PWM dimming provides easier programming of LED brightness by directly applying an external PWM signal, while analog resistance dimming allows adjustment of LED brightness via an external variable resistor. PWM dimming mode is ideal for applications that require variable LED luminosity intensity to be adjusted smoothly and accurately. All three dimming modes are provided through a single pin, allowing optimal flexibility.

The MX841BE also provides several important protection features, such as overvoltage, undervoltage, overtemperature, and short-circuit protection, to minimize the risk of failure of device or system. The device is also equipped with a low voltage lockout that prevents the device from turning on when the voltage is too low.
