The NB2308AI1DTG is a clock generator designed to meet the high speed timing requirements for many industrial applications. It is a low cost and power efficient solution for providing cost of frequency synthesis, phase-lock loop (PLL) functions and frequency modulation.

Working Principle

The NB2308AI1DTG clock generator is a PLL synthesizer employing a wide-range of input reference frequencies to generate multiple output frequencies ranging from 1.2GHz to 3GHz with ultra-low phase noise and excellent power efficiency. It utilizes a novel VCXO technology for its signal generation and a variety of other features to provide its user with the most efficient and reliable clock solution.

It operates from a single DC supply with a wide operating range (2.5V to 3.3V) for very power-efficient operation and supports a wide range of VCO frequencies from 1.2GHz to 3.0GHz. The clock generator is also able to achieve 0.75dB of jitter over the operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C while consuming lower than 1mW of power.

The NB2308AI1DTG is equipped with a variety of features; including decimated dividers, which can provide a wide range of low frequency outputs and adjustable output mismatches, which allow fine tuning or voltage control of the output frequency in order to provide the user with a tailored solution. A lock detect on each output and a reference selection scheme allow the user to optimize the performance while monitoring the output frequency. Furthermore, the built in reference oscillator, Crystal or LVDS input, and DPLL architecture provide a wide range of functionality for any application..
