NB3L202KMNTXG clock buffer/driver is a multi-function, low power CMOS device specifically designed to distribute/generate clocks and other related signals. Its functions address the needs of various applications, such as clock distribution, clock deskew, clock regeneration, clock fan-out, clock phase adjustment, and clock gating. It offers extensive features, wide bandwidth, low power consumption, adjustable output current, skew-effect compensation, bi-directional and polarized output, high integration, and wide immunity to EMC interference.
The device has an internal oscillator that serves as the clock source and an input port that can be connected to an existing clock signal. The input port can be configured to detect the transitions of the incoming signal and the output buffers can be enabled/disabled based on the input port configuration. The clock signal is then regenerated by the internal PLL and distributed by the output buffers to the required destinations.
The internal operating frequency is determined by the feedback divider and can be configured by the user through a range of pin-selectable frequency ratios. The output drivers have adjustable current level control and can be used to compensate for the skew between the input and output clocks. The output drivers also support bidirectional data, which can be used for de-skewing the output data. Furthermore, the output drivers support LVDS, HSTL, and LVPECL levels.
NB3L202KMNTXG is designed to meet the stringent requirements of clock applications, such as jitter, integrity and accuracy, as well as EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) issues.
