The NB4N527SMNEVB Evaluation Board is no exception. This Evaluation Board is a low-cost tool for evaluating and demonstrating the performances, features, and embedded functions of NXP®’s recently introduced NB4N527SMNEVB, a high-performance 32-bit ARM® Cortex™-M4F microcontroller and analog sub-system.
The NB4N527SMNEVB Evaluation Board is designed for applications in automotive, industrial and consumer systems. The comprehensive software library, along with ample development interface, make this board powerful and easy to use. Additionally, the onboard programming and debugging tools allows quick and easy development and eliminates the need for external development kits.
The NB4N527SMNEVB Evaluation Board is also designed to enable quick prototyping and testing of applications. The board has a footprint that is ideal for working on benchtops or with limited space. The board includes an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) that provides an interactive way to prototype applications. Furthermore, integrated human interface and audio/video connectors provide users with the capability to interact with and monitor applications developed on the board.
The NB4N527SMNEVB Evaluation Board is designed to evaluate the features of the NB4N527SMNEVB microcontroller. It comes with an on-board NXP® J-module debugging and programming interface that requires no external cables or connections. A flexible power solution that enables operation from 7 V to 36 V is also included for the system.
The development suite for this Evaluation Board includes the IAR™ embedded workbench along with the NXP® Studio+ IDE. The IAR™ embedded workbench provides a comprehensive development environment with a wide range of debugging and programming features. Additionally, the NXP® Studio+ IDE provides an easy to use interface and easy debugging with breakpoints, user programmable logic analyzers, and other advanced debugging tools.
Embedded software library and libraries are included for eight customized peripheral drivers, which provide a fully functional development environment for quick prototyping and testing of applications. The board also provides a USB 2.0, a UART, and an I2C interface, which allows for communication with external devices.
The NB4N527SMNEVB Evaluation Board is also capable of running safety-critical application programs such as motor control and digital signal processing (DSP). It includes a dual-core operating system which allows for distributed real-time tasks to be executed independently and safely with deterministic target response times. Furthermore, the board provides hardware security features such as secure boot, Execute In Place (XIP) memory, and hardware-supported debug breakpoints.
