NCL30002LED1GEVB is a ready-to-use product evaluation board designed for LED drivers. It offers a powerful, cost-effective solution for driving high-power LEDs. With this board, designers can optimally drive 1W and 3W LEDs in a single output configuration, or multiple LEDs in parallel to increase the overall brightness. The board is designed to offer flexibility in setting current usage. It also features an adjustable switching frequency from 0.1KHz to 200KHz, enabling users to customize the switching frequency to meet their specific application needs.
NCL30002LED1GEVB is powered by an international buck DC-DC converter NCL30002LED high power LED driver IC, which has been optimized for use in outdoor and commercial lighting applications. The evaluation board allows users to quickly and easily configure and evaluate any NCL30002-equipped design for their application needs. The board’s flexibility and adjustable features make it suitable for a variety of different applications, including but not limited to ceiling lights, street lamps, exterior lighting, and more.
The board has three input/output connectors: one 2.1mm DC power jack, one PWM input port, and one OUTPUT port. To make the board flexible, designers can connect the three connectors with different types of cables (using different lengths). The 2.1mm DC power jack is used to provide input power of 5 Vdc, while the OUTPUT port allows users to control the LED current by adjusting the PWM duty cycle or the switch frequency.
The board can easily be used to verify the working principle of NCL30002LED. It works on a buck dc-dc converter, which takes input voltage and provides a constant current to the LEDs. The device contains two power transistors connected in a buck circuit. An inductor is used to store the energy and two MOSFET switches are used to control the output current.
