NCN4555MNG is a logic translator, level shifter and single-channel voltage-level translator also known as a voltage-level converter. It offers dual-level operation for translating any TTL-logic device operated on a 5V voltage level to be compatible with a device operating at 3.3V (or the opposite). This device is pin and register compatible with three popular 3.3V translation solutions: the Motorola, Maxim, and National Semiconductor solutions. In addition to its existing features, the NCN4555MNG also provides low power options, a low capacitance option, and a Dynamic Logic Sense technology offer integrated power saving features.
The NCN4555MNG is based on a single-channel, bi-directional, logic-level translation process that preserves the logic levels of the source device while protecting the sensitive logic of the target device. It offers a variety of features to provide both the conversion and protection of each device\'s logic. This includes two independent power sources which helps reduce Level-Shift power dissipation and power-saving modes which allow the Level-Shift to enter into a low-power state when the source is inactive.
The NCN4555MNG utilizes a pair of advanced styles of translator logic, Dynamic Logic Sensing (DLS) and High-Voltage Threshold logic, to provide a high level of performance. DLS logic is a low-power approach that combines logic level protection and logic level translation into a single power-saving architecture.
