The NCP1271D100R2G is a monolithic integrated circuit and is part of the offline switchers (flyback and forward) as well as AC DC converters, also known as PMICs (Power Management Integrated Circuit) family. It has several features such as output power up to 25W, a fixed frequency current-mode control, primary side regulation, low component count, protection features and the ability to force a system into Eco mode operation.
The NCP1271D100R2G is one of the most power-efficient PMICs out there, combining high performance with low component count and high component/packaging density.
