PMIC is short for power management integrated circuit, which can be vividly called a great power regulator. It consists of many different power converters and offline switches, among which the NCP1351DPG application field and working principle is an important part.

The first stage is the inflow side rectification control. This stage rectifies and regulates the mains voltage so that it is suitable for the PFC and CC/CV. The oscillator supplies the gate signals to the SCRs or MOSFETs in the upper conversion stage which regulates the voltage level.
The second stage is the two-stage power factor correction and active clamped power factor control. This module compensates for the non-linearity and harmonic distortion of the input. It uses the oscillator signals to drive the upper converter’s power transistors to ensure that the output voltage of the PFC is correctly applied to the output of the CC/CV circuit.
The third stage is the DC to DC converter, also known as the lower converter. This module rectifies and regulates the output voltage from the upper conversion stage. It is designed to maintain a constant output voltage with minimal current ripple and efficient power transfer.
The NCP1351DPG also has special features such as auto-starting and single-band operation to maximize efficiency. It has internal overtemperature protection for the power transistors and overvoltage protection for the output. It also has a low stand-by power consumption and can be used in multiple power applications.
