It is a high-performance, cost-effective solution for low power AC/DC power supply applications. The device integrates a high-voltage MOSFET, a low-voltage MOSFET, high-voltage rectifier, over-current protection, and startup circuitry. With a power rating of up to 14 Watts, the NCP1381DR2G is designed to meet the needs of many low power AC/DC applications.The NCP1381DR2G has a wide operating input voltage range of 85-265VAC and a wide output voltage range of 6-36VDC. It is designed to be configured with double-ended output, allowing it to be integrated into compact low cost solutions. The NCP1381DR2G also features programmable over-voltage, over-temperature and over-current protection, making it ideal for high reliability AC/DC power supplies.The NCP1381DR2G is a versatile solution for many off-line, AC/DC power conversion applications. Its low cost, small size, and wide operating voltage range make it suitable for a variety of applications such as: solid-state lighting, Security systems, white goods, power tools, portable medical equipment and consumer electronics.The NCP1381DR2G uses a buck-boost converter topology, which is a combination of a buck and a boost converter, to regulate its output voltage. In the buck-boost topology, the input voltage, switch frequency, and output voltage are all independently adjustable. The output voltage is determined by the ratio of the transformer turns ratio and the duty cycle applied to the control switch.The NCP1381DR2G is based on a unique architecture that uses high frequency synchronous rectification. This helps minimize the power losses in the device and lowers the overall device cost. Additionally, it is designed to minimize the size of the output filter components which allows for a compact design and lowers the cost of the overall design.The NCP1381DR2G supports a wide range of configurations, giving designers more flexibility to optimize their solution.
