The NCP1521ASNT1G is a member of the DC/DC switching regulator family that is designed to provide a wide range of efficiencies, ranging from 65-90%. The versatile NCP1521ASNT1G regulator operates in one of two modes; the Boost Buck or Buck Boost modes. The NCP1521ASNT1G regulator also includes a circuit to prevent exceeding an user-definable threshold voltage.

The NCP1521ASNT1G’s Boost-Buck mode allows for input voltages up to 28V, with a 5A load, and a voltage of 1V to 28V output. In the Buck-Boost mode, the regulator is capable of input voltages up to 28V, with a 5A load, and an output of -1V to +280V.
