NCP707CMX285TCG is a high-performance constant current regulator of the linear type, developed by ON Semiconductor. This efficient device provides a continual current limit of 285 mA at a maximum voltage of 42V. This regulator is ideal for dimming LED strips and driving motors, as well as providing a highly efficient current-controlled power supply for lighting systemsdevices.

The NCP707CMX285TCG operates in a simple two-terminal configuration; one being a reference voltage (Vref), and the other the output voltage (Vout). When connected to the load, the output voltage will be determined by the reference voltage, and the output current will be limited or regulated at 285 mA.

The regulator can be configured to limit current or regulate current output by adjusting either the reference voltage (Vref) or the output voltage (Vout). The regulation voltage is set via an external resistor, which also allows the adjustments of the current limit value.
