Working Principle

At the heart of the NCV7805ABD2TR4G is a voltage reference manufactured using an integrated circuit technology. The voltage reference produces a voltage of 1.5V, which is compared to the output voltage of the device through a resistor divider. The output voltage is then adjusted until it matches the input from the voltage reference. The output voltage of the NCV7805ABD2TR4G can be adjusted from 1.5V to 30V by changing the value of two external resistors.

The NCV7805ABD2TR4G also features a built-in overcurrent protection.
