ND104N08KHPSA1 Application Field and Working Principle

Working Principle
The ND104N08KHPSA1 is based on the MOSFETs field effect technology. The structure is composed of three rows of multiple FETs, and each row consists of four FETs that form the parasitic columns. Each FET is then connected to a diode-rectifier which is used to block the current from travelling in the opposite direction.
When activated, the FETs will allow the current to flow from the source to the drain, while blocking any current from travelling in the opposite direction. Thus, the FETs in the ND104N08KHPSA1 act as a switch to control the current in both directions.
In addition, the ND104N08KHPSA1 includes four thermally-enhanced MOSFETs and four Schottky diodes, which are arranged in an interlocking pattern. This pattern serves to protect the FETs and Schottky diodes from overheating during operation. When overheating occurs, the FETs will turn off, and the Schottky diodes will resist any incoming current.
