What is NFVSM4? NFVSM4 is a Non-Follow-through Variability and Scalability Model, which is designed to increase the efficiency of large-scale network systems with varying demand. The model is described as “the content and operational workload model of a multivariate flow environment.”

Developed by the Network Fabric Variability & Scalability Laboratory (NFVSL) at the Technical University of Berlin, NFVSM4, allows users to quickly adapt services according to the needs of their clients. In fact, many of today’s large organizations are using NFVSM4.

NFVSM4 can be applied in multiple fields and environments to increase the flexibility of operations, services and architectures as well as to maximize the scalability of services. Generally speaking, it is used to manage the resources available within a network system in order to optimize the utilization and increase the throughput of services.
