NJM1496M is a new type of RF Misc ICs and Modules used in the fields of wireless communication, multimedia system and digital broadcast. It is based on a new circuit technique to provide a low noise, low power consumption and high reliability operation. Its versatile architecture also makes it suitable for various applications such as sound synthesis, frequency synthesis, frequency modulation and synthesis of various audio signals.
The NJM1496M is a single-channel MAXIMRF integrated circuit (IC), with an operating frequency range of up to 6GHz. It is integrated with a power amplifier, a synthesizer and a voltage regulator and it supports multiple modulation types, including phase-shift keying (PSK), Gaussian Frequency Shift Keying (GFSK) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM). The NJM1496M operates at a low power of just 2.6 V to 3.6 V.
The working principle of the NJM1496M is based on the principles of frequency synthesis and carrier modulation techniques. Frequency synthesis is a method of applying specific frequencies to generate specific waveforms. Carrier modulation is a way for transmitting information by changing the amplitude or frequency of a carrier signal in response to the information being sent. By using these two techniques in combination, the NJM1496M is able to generate signals with multi-frequency carriers, varying the amplitudes of the carriers in response to a received message.
The NJM1496M also features enhanced performance and power efficiency due to its sophisticated digital control circuitry, which provides accurate VCO control, rapid frequency measurement and built-in programmable functions.
