NMP1K2-#K##CC-05 AC/DC converters are designed to supply power to a wide variety of demanding applications ranging from medical equipment, to communications, industrial and consumer applications. These converters are designed to offer a robust and reliable power solution in a space-saving package. Their compact size, low cost, high efficiency, and low noise output make them well suited for applications that require low power and low noise levels.The NMP1K2-#K##CC-05 AC/DC converters essentially take in an AC input voltage, converting it to a DC output. This is done using power semiconductor switches with an energy storage device to create what is known as an AC-DC boost converter. The switches turn on and off to charge up the storage device at regular intervals. During the on-time interval of each switch, the input AC voltage is rectified and sent to the storage device, charging it up with energy.The stored energy is then released in a continuous DC output voltage in the off-time interval of the switches. This means that the AC-DC converter can convert a wide range of input voltage to a regulated output voltage. This regulation of the output is done through the use of specialized feedback loops which keep the output voltage constant regardless of the input voltage.The NMP1K2-#K##CC-05 AC/DC converter also has the ability to operate in a pulse-width modulation (PWM) mode to increase efficiency. In this mode, the switch on and off times are adjusted to meet the required output voltage.
