NPA 201 is a pressure sensor or transducer which is specially designed for many applications such as pressure measurement, pressure evaluation and pressure control. This transducer is versatile in nature and designed for converting applied pressure into an electrical signal. The NPA 201 comes with two membrane types of which one is a silicone membrane while the other one is a stainless steel diaphragm.
The NPA 201 pressure transducer works with the help of two primary components: the sensing element and the signal conditioning circuitry. The first one consists of a tensioned Member made with good elastic material such as stainless steel, polysilicone or polyimide. The NPA 201 works on the principle of the wheatstone bridge circuit where a voltage is applied to two sets of sensing elements which are connected in a bridge circuit. The output of the bridge consists of a signal voltage; the magnitude of the signal will be correlated to the form of the signal conditioning circuitry.
